Irreligion

A Reverend in Derry, Northern Ireland is petitioning for the City Council to ban a Halloween festival as an evil event promoting the devil.
While clearly based on his own personal beliefs, if taken seriously his intentions directly contravene EU Human Rights legislation.

So we’re petitioning against him, and on 31st October the Reverend will be emailed the results of our petition and we hope it shows him that more people are in favour of freedom in belief than are against it (personified by him).

This is not a serious petition, per se, but since simply telling the Reverend that he’s a flipping loony (who should realise that his beliefs don’t apply beyond his own congregation) is unlikely to register with him, this seemed like the best angle to take.
